I’m a portrait photographer based in Somerset, working across Bristol, Bath, the South West and throughout the UK.
I photograph people for businesses, brands, agencies, publications and individuals – from editorial and environmental portraits to corporate photography, headshots and portraits for websites, campaigns and social media.
I like portraits to feel natural and unforced. Sometimes that means working with very little direction and finding the photograph as we go; sometimes it means carefully choosing the location, lighting and composition. Either way, I’m looking for a strong image rather than something that feels overly posed or polished for the sake of it.
My background as a filmmaker and director is a big part of how I work with people. I’m used to photographing and filming people who aren’t professional models, working quickly and getting what I need without turning the whole thing into an elaborate photoshoot.
I can work with natural light, a simple location setup or full lighting depending on the brief, and can photograph individuals or larger groups across a working day.
Based in Somerset, I regularly work as a portrait photographer across Bruton, Frome, Bath, Bristol and the wider South West, as well as travelling throughout the UK.
